Laser Hair Removal Consultation
Why you need a laser hair removal consultation?
Your initial laser hair removal consultation is the most important part of your treatment course. On your consultation we check through your medical history and assess your skin and hair to ensure you are suitable for laser. We will also answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment.
We want to make sure you have all the relevant information to allow you to make an informed decision and be sure that laser is right for you. After your consultation you should be equipped with all the knowledge you need to understand how laser works and the science behind it.
A patch test is also vitally important as it allows us to test your skin for any sensitivity from the laser. It will also ensure you are a suitable candidate for treatment. For safety reasons we insist on a patch test and require a wait time of 24-48 hours before your first treatment. This is a vital part of your laser hair removal consultation and we can’t emphasise enough how important it is for your safety.
In addition to this a patch test allows you to feel the sensation of the laser before you start. You will be pleasantly surprised at how laser actually feels. After your patch test you’ll know that you have nothing to worry about. A patch test allows us to ensure your laser setting is correct for your skin type and hair type. As a result of this patch test you are much more at-ease coming in for your first treatment as you know how laser feels.
Your skin type will be assessed and the correct laser will be chosen for your skin type
For safety reasons the correct type of laser must be used. Dark skin requires a different wave length of laser to pale skin. During a consultation the treatment area will be assessed and a safe and effective patch test setting will be selected for your individual skin type.
When putting your trust in us and investing in laser hair removal treatment we feel it’s only right that we invest the time to explain things fully. We make sure all your questions are answered. It’s essential that we carry out all safety checks before treatment so that you are not put at risk. We use medical grade lasers so it is imperative we put your safety first.
