How many sessions are needed for men’s laser hair removal?

Most men will need 8-12+ sessions of laser hair removal. However, it is not uncommon for some men to need more than this in order to achieve a reduction in growth. It’s so important that you know the truth before you start. Laser is an amazing treatment but results do need to be maintained after your initial course.

Is laser hair removal permanent for men?

No, laser hair removal does not permanently remove men’s hair after an initial course of treatment. Top ups will be required 2-3 times a year. This is mainly due to men’s hormone profile. The hormone testosterone contributes greatly to how hair grows in the body. With laser we can only treat hairs externally. As this hormone is created internally if you have higher levels of testosterone treatment may take longer and more top ups may be needed. It is important to understand laser is not a miracle cure for excess hair. It can take time but the results you can achieve are well worth the time and effort.

Does laser hair removal for men hurt?

Laser hair removal can feel sensitive in some areas but it should not hurt. At the beginning of a course of treatment it is not unusual for treatment to pinch more. This is because the hair is thicker so it will absorb more energy from the laser. As treatment progresses and hair thins out treatment becomes much more comfortable. We take treatment at your pace and have developed techniques to minimise the sensation of laser. Our lasers are also equipped with cooling devices that deliver jet’s of ice cold air during treatment.

Is laser hair removal safe for men?

Yes, laser hair removal is safe for men. We treat all skin types safely with our lasers. We use FDA approved, medical grade lasers in our clinics. These lasers have been clinically trialled and tested and are proven to reduce excess hair. Our dedicated team of hair removal experts are fully trained to perform treatments. We do our very best to assign one therapist per client so your results can be monitored closely the whole way through your course of treatment. It also means you meet the same friendly face each time you visit us.

What areas do we treat for men’s laser hair removal?

We treat all areas of the body and face for men. With the exception of 2 areas the scalp and just underneath the eyebrow. All other areas are treatable. The most popular areas are face, back, chest and manzillian.

Does laser hair removal work for men on pubic area?

Yes, laser hair removal works for men on the pubic area. We call this treatment a Manzillian. If you are shaving or using hair removal cream on this area and are looking for a long term solution to remove your hair talk to us. Hair in this area can be coarse and hard to manage so laser will help. After a few sessions of laser hair in this area becomes lighter and finer and is much easier to manage.

How much is laser hair removal for men?

Prices start from as little as €40 for a small area. You only pay for what you need with us. Before you start a course we will assess your treatment area and will only recommend treatment on areas where you need it. Your consultation is the most important part of your treatment course with us. We will assess your hair and give you honest advice and will also put a treatment plan in place for you to ensure you see results. This will also give us an opportunity to see the areas where laser will be needed so we can discuss pricing with you.

Follow these quick and easy steps before each one of your treatments Lightly exfoliate 3-4 days before your session is dueHydrate your skin in the days afterwardsShave your treatment area 24 hours before your session Use shaving foam and a sharp razor and shave slowlyBe meticulous, remove hairs from all your treatment areaBe sure your skin is free from all products on the day of your sessionIf you have applied any topical products after shaving ensure these are washed offIf you have had to take any new medications inform us a few days before your appointmentAvoid tea/coffee directly before your appointment, these are stimulants and may affect how you feel during your session
