Is laser hair removal safe on the underarm?

Yes, underarm laser hair removal is a safe way to remove hair. Laser works by delivering pulses of heat and light into the hair follicle. After a course of treatment this disables hair follicles and prevents new hairs from regrowing. Laser delivers this heat very superficially on this skin, this will not travel deep enough into the skin to cause any damage to the surrounding skin and tissue. We use medical grade 4 lasers in our clinic’s, these lasers are FDA approved and are clinically proven to reduce hair.

Is laser hair removal permanent on the underarm?

Results from laser hair removal on the underarm are not 100% permanent for the rest of your life. Top up/maintenance sessions will be needed to maintain your results. The reduction you will achieve from your initial course of laser will be life changing. However, a small percentage of hairs that may have not been in the correct stage of growth for laser to work will regrow. These are the hairs that will need top up treatments in order to remove them.

How many sessions of laser hair removal are needed for underarm?

6 -10+ laser hair removal treatments are needed for the underarm area. The majority of people will achieve approx 80-85% reduction after a full course. However, some medical conditions may mean you will need more sessions. Top up sessions will also be needed from time to time to maintain your results.

Does laser hair removal hurt on the armpits?

Laser hair removal should not hurt on the armpit area. At the start of a course when hairs are thick and coarse it may feel like a sharp, warm pinch. As hairs become thinner after each session treatment becomes less sensitive. Our lasers deliver a jet of cold air as they pulse to help make treatment feel more comfortable. Our therapists also take treatment at a pace that’s comfortable for you. Treatment is super quick on this area so treatment will be over before you know it.

How much does laser hair removal cost on the underarm?

Laser hair removal prices start from €40 per session for the underarm area. However, if you are adding the underarm onto another area this is discounted to €20 per session.

Does laser get rid of dark shadow on underarm area?

Yes, laser hair removal can help minimise the appearance of dark shadows on the underarm area. It can take some time to notice this but as hairs become finer and lighter skin any shadow may start to fade.

How to prepare the underarm area for laser hair removal?

It’s important to prepare correctly for each session of laser hair removal.
